Another part of the exhibition features the Royal Hotel site

The former Royal Hotel occupied a prestigious site site near St Peter Port harbour. After a series of fires, the hotel was demolished in 1998 and the site cleared for development. Archaeological investigations on this very large site were carried out as a series of small test excavations over a two year period. Some of these revealed new information about prehistoric Guernsey.
