The active programme of archaeological excavations in Guernsey is almost entirely dependent on a loyal band of volunteers who freely give their time to the pursuit of knowledge. They are also helping to interpret their subject during the course of this exhibition, by manning a resource area and explaining their work to visitors. There is also a scheduled programme of specific events associated with the exhibition, which will be held in this area - known as 'The Potting Shed'.
