1204 and all that…. EASTER FESTIVAL OF LIVING HISTORY

A special event to celebrate 800 years of Guernsey’s story after King John of England lost Normandy in 1204. Travel from the past to the present with King John & his fool over five days of costumed presentations and tours. With other events and activities around the Castle there is something for all the family. From 10am - 3.30pm. On Sunday 11th April, tours & presentations at all our sites. Included in the entry price or come and go as you please with a Special 5 day Festival Pass £12 Adult £8 Senior Citizen. Children, students & Heritage Pass Holders FREE

Norman Castles Great and Small

Meet Mr Motte of Motte & Bailey, Estate Agents to the Norman Barons...
To accompany the ‘Celebration 800’ Norman Castle exhibition which opened on May 19th, Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery is hosting an informative and entertaining presentation on the background and development of the Norman Castle. Designed to complement the Exhibition, the presentation is written and performed by David Mosley whose contribution to the Museum Services’ Living History programme has been enjoyed by islanders and visitors during the last 5 years.

Castle Cornet -  a 21 gun salute will be fired from the Saluting Battery at midday (preparations begin at 11:30). Meet 'Lady Margaret', Tudor lady, at 14:15

Summer Festival of LIVING HISTORY in Castle Cornet

Four days of performances from 10am – 4pm, to take you through highlights in Guernsey’s history from 1204-2004.
