Guernsey Museums & Galleries is a service provided by the government of Guernsey, one of the British Crown Dependencies known as the Channel Islands.

Each month the museum highlights a single artwork, either from our own collection or from a living local artist. This allows for a focused (and free-of-charge) exploration of the individual work, away from the distractions of the main museum. The work for December 2011 is an appropriately seasonal depiction of the Annunciation by a 19th century Italian School artist.

Each month the museum highlights a single artwork, either from our own collection or from a living local artist. This allows for a focused (and free-of-charge) exploration of the individual work, away from the distractions of the main museum. The work for February 2011 is a work by the late Larry Ham, a Guernsey-based modernist painter who achieved a considerable local following. An illustrated booklet about his work has recently been published and is available from the museum shop.
