A Quiet War 

From 1940 – 1945 Guernsey was occupied by German forces. A Guernsey man who lived through the Occupation shares his experiences as he tours the German fortifications in Castle Cornet.

The First Castle 

A tour of the Castle as it might have been during the medieval period. Though designed as a defensive structure to guard St Peter Port’s important harbour, its development included a chapel and Great Hall as well as a tower or Donjon.

The ‘Period’ Gardens 

Four gardens within the Castle walls have been planted to reflect relevant periods in the castle’s history. The tours are supported by a slide/lecture show on wet days.

Artillery around the Castle 

A tour of some of the Castle cannons and the later artillery on display.
