Our service is committed to making its sites as accessible and inclusive as possible for the whole community. 

Due to the nature of historic buildings, please be aware that some of our sites were built for defensive purposes and can pose problems for people with limited mobility.  Please refer to the guidelines below before your visit.  If you manage a group of people who have difficulty accessing the Museums, please contact our Access & Learning Manager to discuss possible alternatives. 

Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery

Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery can be enjoyed by people with limited mobility, including wheelchair users.  There is a disabled toilet and no stairs.  A wheelchair is available for use on request.  Please ask a member of staff.  Audio guides are available to assist the partially sighted.  There is no car park for the Museum but on-street parking is available on Candie Road or in the Odeon Car Park (5 minutes away).  Registered Disabled visitors are permitted to drive into Candie Gardens from the top gate and park next to the Cafe (on certain days in the Summer, this is not possible.  Please call 726518 to enquire). 

Castle Cornet and Fort Grey

Castle Cornet and Fort Grey can only be accessed by via flights of stairs, have no disabled toilets and are not suitable for wheelchair users.  Persons with limited mobility or the partially sighted need to be aware that the interiors include uneven, slippery surfaces and many steps. 

Guernsey Telephone Museum

The Telephone Museum has a car park behind the building and there are no stairs.  Wheelchair users can access the Museum but will find space restricted.  There is no disabled toilet.

If a disabled person is accompanied by an essential companion, both can be admitted for the price of a single adult ticket.
