Access & special needs
Guernsey Museums and Galleries is committed to making its sites as accessible and inclusive as possible for all of our visitors.
Due to the nature of historic buildings, please be aware that some of our sites were built for defensive purposes and can pose problems for people with limited mobility. Please refer to the guidelines below before your visit. If you manage a group of people who have difficulty accessing the Museums, please contact our Access & Learning Manager to discuss possible alternatives.
Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery
This can be enjoyed by people with limited mobility including wheelchair users. There is no car park for the Museum but on-street parking is available on Candie Road or in the Odeon Car Park (5 minutes away). Special parking is available by arrangement for registered disabled visitors; please call ahead of your visit to (+44) 01481 726518. A wheelchair is available to use on site, free of charge, and we also have a disabled toilet. Audio guides are available from Reception for the visually impaired.
Castle Cornet and Fort Grey
These sites can only be accessed by a flight of stairs, and as such are not suitable for wheelchair users. Persons with limited mobility or the partially sighted need to be aware that the interiors and exteriors include uneven surfaces, steps and staircases.
Discounted Entry Price
In all our sites, if a disabled person is accompanied by an essential companion, both can be admitted for the price of a single adult ticket.
For more information, please see the Culture & Leisure Disability Access Leaflet below.
