Watercolours from The Highgrove FlorilegiumOriginal artworks for one of the world's most exclusive booksIllustrations of plants from the garden of TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. We are priviledged to be the first British museum to show any of these works since their inaugural exhibition at the Garden Museum in London. The result of a nine year project by 72 acclaimed botanical artists worldwide, the Highgrove Florilegium illustrates in exquisite detail just 124 plants grown in the royal garden. A major artistic and publishing project, The Highgrove Florilegium took seven years to complete and was widely reported in the media. The BBC News Report from 2009 (below) explains something of the project. The work it features by Celia Crampton will be one of the seventy watercolours on show in the exhibition.
