PORT - The National Maritime Museum's portal for maritime reference resources.
The 24 Hour Museum - extensive portal site for UK museums and heritage sites, with up to the minute museum-related news.
NAVIS - European database of ancient shipwrecks. Includes Guernsey's Gallo-Roman wreck, recovered from St Peter Port harbour in 1984.

CORNUCOPIA - The Museums, Libraries & Archives Council site, which showcases British museums and offers many insights into the museum world
FENSCORE - the Federation for Natural Sciences Collections Research. If you want to find out where natural history collections relating to a particular area, person or classification grouping are located, then this is the place to look. Don't expect images and fancy effects, this is a serious research site, offering sophisticated searching of datasets which have taken years to compile. There is often biographical and related information about the collectors concerned.
The Guernsey Society - was formed in 1943 by some of Guernsey's wartime exiles to "Promote the welfare of Guernsey and to collaborate in furthering the common interests of the Channel Islands". Since then it has developed further activities - including a website to give details.
MODES Users Association - If you ever wondered what software we use for cataloguing our collections, you can find out all about it on this site.
National Federation for Biological Recording - An organisation which co-ordinates the network of Biological Records Centres in the UK. It is closely involved with the National Biodiversity Network.
National Heritage - The museums action movement.
Founded in 1971 by the late John Letts, National Heritage represents the interests of museum and gallery visitors and users. It also supports, encourages and enhances the role of all museums and galleries in the UK.

The States of Guernsey - official government web portal with information about local governance, legislation and administrative services.
Guernsey Sites and Monuments Record - Guernsey Museums & Galleries have been compiling records of Guernsey's antiquities for many years and this information is now available to the public through the website of Digimap Ltd.
The Priaulx Library - Guernsey's local history library - focus for local studies and family history research.
William Le Lacheur - a site devoted to the enterprising Guernsey man who opened up the 19th century coffee trade with Costa Rica, and is probably still better known there than in his homeland.
The Resource Zone - Locally based educational resource materials for free download. Contains material developed jointly with the Museum's Education Service.
La Société Guernesiaise - Founded in 1822 as a local Natural History society, it immediately began publishing annual volumes of 'Transactions' containing detailed articles and observations relating to the Bailiwick. Its interest rapidly extended to cover most aspects of local human history, in addition to natural science. The society adopted its current name in the early 1920s and still flourishes.
The Alderney Society and Museum - The Alderney Society is an Organisation dedicated to the historical, environmental, and scientific promotion of the Island of Alderney. The website gives details of their activities, contact details and publications.
Channel Islands Great War Study Group - a new (2006) website from a group which has been studying and documenting the Channel Islands' involvement in the 1914-1918 Great War.
