It soon becomes clear that although the "little frog" has less fur than the wolf, less speed than the panther and less agility than the monkey his courage and wit mark him out as the future King of the Jungle. Oddsocks Productions present Richard III, by William Shakespeare within the walls of St Peter Port’s Castle Cornet. This hilarious outdoor theatre production is not to be missed. The play is a piece of Tudor propaganda, making a villain out of Richard III who was ultimately deposed by Henry Tudor. With murders, battle and political scheming, Oddsocks bring their exuberant wit and banter to a play not normally known for its comic content. Ever-popular on their appearances in Guernsey, Oddsocks have received rave reviews: ‘Andy Barrow’s Richard III is a simpering, camp villain with a fascinating snozzle. His seduction of Lady Anne, played by Harriet Rose, is gloriously over the top’.
